Liliuokalani
pending
(Queen circa 1893)
I am currently working up sketches on this project. I had planned on releasing her in a larger scale, but I need passengers for my own layout and can`t wait that long. She will be a seated figure with a hat.
Release Date changed to 14th Liliuokalani was the last reigning monarch of the Kingdom of Hawaii. She petitioned relentlessly till her death in 1917 for the restoration of Hawaiian Sovereignty and never relesaed her claims to the throne. Some people have remarked that she was a weak monarch who had no chance of holding on to her rule because of her anomosity towards the ex-patriated Americans living on the islands, but I disagree, very few great nations could resist U.S. agression in those days. Once the United States set its mind on taking over, it was a done deal as they proved against the Native Americans and the Mexicans. I think she was a strong ruler who understood the futility of open resistance against a world super power and was wise enough to refuse to relinquish her claims to the throne.

Claus Spreckles
pending
(Entrepenuier circa 1897)
In an effort to populate the seats of my new coach I am undertaking another seated figure, Claus Spreckels. I am still in research mode on this one so the release date is very speculative.
Claus isn`t just important to the Central Coast of California, and wasn`t just a business man interested in exploiting Hawaiian sugar. He was a friend to the Royal family, and close to King David Kalakaua. He used his wealth and influence to help take back the Hawaiian throne shortly after the illegal over throw of the Hawaiian Kingdom.
